The story of Sian Flowers began in 1995, in Njoro, Kenya. It was here that Agriflora Kenya Ltd laid the foundation for what would become a journey of growth, innovation, and impact. With a clear vision to produce high-quality roses for export, the company quickly grew into a respected name in the floriculture industry. As the years unfolded, Sian expanded, establishing Equator Flowers in Eldoret in 1997, Maasai Flowers in Kitengela, and later Sololo Agriculture near Eldoret in 2018 — each farm uniquely positioned to harness Kenya’s diverse climates. Together, these four farms formed a formidable group committed to delivering excellence in cut flower production. In 2018, Sian Roses rebranded to Sian Flowers, marking a bold new chapter that reflected our broadened product range and a more inclusive identity. No longer just about roses, we have evolved into a grower of spray roses, garden varieties, summer flowers, and greeneries, tailored to the dynamic tastes of our international markets. Our rebrand wasn’t just a name change — it symbolized a fresh commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer connection. We redesigned our packaging and product presentation. The response from the market was resounding, affirming that the Sian Flowers identity was both timely and future-ready. Today, Sian is Kenya’s largest grower of spray roses, with over 70 hectares under production. Our dedication to variety development and excellence has led to our recognition as a key player in the global spray rose segment — proudly joining the World of Spray Roses Alliance. But flowers are just the beginning. At Sian, we believe in growing responsibly. Our farms embrace eco-friendly practices such as hydroponic irrigation, biological pest control (IPM), water recycling, and clean energy initiatives including solarization and sea freight logistics to reduce our carbon footprint. Sian Flowers is also deeply rooted in its social mission. We invest in the well-being of our workers through training, healthcare, safe working environments, subsidized meals, and education support. We are proudly certified by Fairtrade, MPS, KFC, and Global GAP, underscoring our dedication to ethical practices and continuous improvement. As we celebrate 30 years in 2025, we look back with gratitude.
